 Decals
« Thread Started on Jun 14, 2009, 11:55am »

I see so many banners on the forum what is great of course, but what I miss is a little guide how I can get such decals on my miniatures. Of course I can print them on normal paper and try to glue this to my minis but that would become a mess. Is there someone who can explain me how I can create it myself and how I can add it on the minis

Thanks!

Well, I just print the shields on paper and pva them to the model, then I over paint them to make them look more like I painted them myself ;)
works absolutely fine.

I tried to print my first shield, but maybe its the paper, it is a bit thick.
Never thought about printing your own decals. It was what I meant, but I can imagine that it becomes a little shiny... maybe I have to look to thinner paper.
Paper is great as long you glue it on a plain and smooth surface. Any hints when it is not smooth. For example the tunics of the knights. (yes I know, with decals I should have the same problem), I've tried to paint it last time, but it is pretty hard.
