Updating faster then you guys can reply Here's today's work... The blank bases are there, because I need parts, which I will order tomorow. They are all based, bar the Heavy Weapons teams, Sarge's and Special Weapons guys. My reasoning; Heavy Weapons need the second crewman, and I don't have him (yet), he will be magnetised, so I need the magnets aswell. Once I have them, I can base the teams. Sarge's and Special Weapons are not fully assembled or based, because I am planning to spend time detailing the Sarges and I don't have all the parts for the Special Weapons (yet...). I reckon they look really unified, and so, I may have to make a base-board for them all... Cheers guys

Okay I got lazy. I was ment to finish 20 guys on Wednesday, it didn't happen. Unwanted guests arrived, so I spent time with them instead. But I did manage to make 1 cool Ogryn Conversion, and assemble and base all my Sarges (bar one - not enough torsos and legs!). So today I have to finish those 20 guys (detail, the highlights are done), undercoat and finish the four Sarges and Ogryn. Also, if that parcel arrives with my Plasticard, assemble and convert the Chimera, so there in inner detail. I'm not going to FW for an expensive kit like that, i'll make it myself. Also got my hands on Creed and Kell for $20AU instead of $35, and I'm trading Creed for parts to do my Storm Troopers and special weapons. Also getting a Chimera for $30AU (instead of $65), and extra parts later on. Ontop of all that, I'm selling some terrain for $40AU. So far I'm $10 down, but thats okay. I need another 30ish Guardsmen to complete this army, and things are getting dire. Perhaps I can persuade my rellies to basecoat Guardsmen for me! Thats the hardest step... Pictures to prove I'm actually working here; That Ogryn has been changed abit, I lopped off his left leg, gave him a bionic one instead, and put gituar wire through his left eye, and into a servo-skull mounted ontop of his head. Also finished the Ripper Gun, he's based too. These next two pictures are crap (and I apologise), but it shows my gaming standard... Also, this is the terrain I am selling to a bloke somewhere in Australia Forgot to add: Made another objective marker (I think I need five all up), ordered 100 Rare Earth Magnets to Magnetize everything, and I have to Dullcote about forty models.

Well, I have been lazy - I know I know, I hate my social life. I dont think I can pull through to xmas, but heck, I'll try! Tomorow morning calls for me to put sand on them aswell, blackline, metallicness and touch-up the painted models. Then in the afternoon, I'll basecoat another twenty Cadians, and start work on the Ogryn. I'll get some close up pictures of the Ogryn, I went to town on them, and some look quite amusing. Especially the Ogre who is supposed to have a ripper gun weilded to his stomach, expect it looks lower and he's stroking it... Proof tomorow. Good luck to the rest of you guys, you'll need less then me

Another update; So even if I don't get them all done, at least all the bases are! I'm running errands for the next couple of hours, but after that, I'll basecoat and (hopefully) finish a 10-man group of Conscripts. Then I'll have a troops choice done. I've persuaded myself not to touch the Ogryns untill the remaining twentyfour Cadians are done. Hopefully I can do alot tonight, some tomorow morning... but the rest of the day will be socialising, and then perhaps I can work on it in the night. I may actually pull through and do both Troops choices by xmas. I bloody hope so! Nick - Yep, it was - its cold in the shed, and I need something to distract and keep me going ;D

Very nice FM How did you paint the bases? (sorry if you've posted thsi, but I can't see it) I guess the edges are dark flesh, and maybe graveyard earth bleached bone as highlights over the sand? But it would be much appreciated if you could tell em how you did it.. -TTD

Thats fine mate.
I painted the rims Dark Flesh. Basecoated with watered down brown paint (Scorched Brown equivilent). Drybrushed the sand with Snakebite Leather, and the drybrushed with Bleached Bone. The flash doesn't show off the true colour very well, sorry.
