I was wondering. Are you aloud to use ebobs puppets to make and sell your own miniatures? Or is there a rule or something?

vire:If you need ebobs puppets for your own company then you won't make a profit me don't thinks. And if you still want to go ahead then i'd PM ebob or ask him politely but it'd still be a bad idea methinks. NightHunter: that was just spam, no point in even posting that.

I don't know what Deadorc is impling or rambling about here.
Yes, you certainly can use my puppets to make your own range of miniatures, that's precisely what they are designed for. Many sculptors now use my puppets - it's my best selling item with over 5,000 puppets sold already this year. You can even sell the puppets - if you're serious, you can buy 50 puppets at 40% discount from the trade page.
Very soon you will also be able to buy my ready made horses for use with your own ranges - all you have to do is add the saddle and bridle - and rider of course.
The only 'rule' is that you are not permitted to re-cast my puppet or 'blank horse' - puppets must be purchased from me - you can't copy them and cast your own - other than that (which is pretty obvious) you can do what you like. And make lots of profit - as I do.

wow thats great, well im currently making a braveheart range, its my first time sculpting and so far ive got some good poses and i have succesfully sculpted a highland ankle warmer..not much i know but the fabric looks good so its a start, basically the puppets are a great help and they are so easy to use, they break yes, but its nothing a blob of green stuff followed by superglue can't solve

ebob, how soon will your horse(s) be up for sale? i'm looking forward to a cool one for my erkenbrand (i've sculpted the foot one, first fully sculpted one, i'd post pics, but my sister has the digital camera) it'd be good if you sold a rider armature, with the legs already in the right position to fit hte hors,e i just tried it with a regular armature and broke both legs, its really trick and a rider armature would sure help!

i think that making a rider armature would be a waste of time, im not saying it wouldnt be helpful, it would make things alot easier, but the molds r expensive, plus armatures r expected to break, the technique is to get tiny blobs of green and put it in the joints wen they break to hold in place, then add superglue over the top to coat it, if you really cant get the hang of it check out the sculpting page and take the bottom half off your puppet and use the sausage man method for the legs

In answer to a couple of questions - the first horse will be with me this week - I've had one cast as a test to see how it turns out. I'm afraid it may have to be charged at £5.00 - but that's because it's not in a high-volume production mould - I will eventually get several horses into a production mould and then we can expect the blank horses to be more realistically priced at something like £10 for 6.
