They are my Scots pikemen. I had to bend the arms a little to hold the handles - but that was all.

Its a kit by Zvezda - but didnt sell more than about 4 in 12 months. Shame cause its a great kit.

Gripping Beast do a large resin model - not cheap - but big.

personally, id love a model of warwolf, edwards trbuchet he used at stirling. its impressive! apparently managed to breach the walls in one shot!

There is no contemporary image of the War Wolf - it's assumed to be a very large Trebuchet, but the exact design is anyone's guess.

Probably the best Trebuchet I've seen is the one by Gripping Beast - it's certainly very big. A lot of resin for just £25. www.grippingbeast.com/product.php?ItemID=1602you can see that the wooden sides lack detail/texture on the inside, but that could be scratched on or painted without too much trouble. It's troubles me that the winders appear to be too high off the ground for the figures to operate them though - suggesting it was cast from a model designed for a larger scale originally - but again, I expect you could lower that shaft with a little modification when you come to build it. It looks the part I think. I wonder how many crew a machine like this requires? Napleonic cannons have something like 12 men I think - so God knows how many men would be assigned to a machine of this size.
