I'm new here. I just bought my first package of GS and i thought it would be a good idea to join this forum to get som tips from the master. My first question is, how do you do to make a nice looking chainmail? I've tried first stabbing it with a small pin and then with a bigger one(toothpicker actually) but it looks more lik fur to me.

A good question.
There are no doubt several techniques - but I will tell you what I do.
I also use a needle point or similar. You need to work in rows - either across left to right or up and down - it works either way.
What you're trying to achieve is a series of 'S' shapes.
This is done be pressing the tip of the needle in and then just ever so slightly dragging it to one side.
So - working across in rows - start from the right at the bottom of the coat - press the point in and drag - no more than quarter of a mill to the right. Insert the point again to left of the first mark and drag again to the right - and repeat. You should end up with neat row of tiny backwards 'c' s like this '))))))))))))' ok - now we go up one row. starting at the left this time and dragging the point to the left as we step to the right - making a row like this '((((((('
so what you end up with is a pattern like this..
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
Did that make sense?
The key is to keep it tight and small as you can - but neatness is crucial - the neater you are the better it will look. Take your time. It'll seem painful at first but you'll get faster and faster till it's easy.
Ebob.
I hope this helps.

Thank you! I really need to test that right now. I'm trying to convert my uruk-hai berserkers for LoTR to mordor uruk-hai. I'm adding cloths and stuff to them and now i can do a nice chainmail!

I think they work really good as mordor uruks becouse they are almost naked(yuck naked uruks! ) so you can put different clothes on them pretty easily.
