hi, please post some tips for sword sculpting/building. i tried first to make it with a wire in the middle and my second try was a small metal sheet. both didnt look satisfying, because i had no idea on how to start.
please show more than one method to make it look good.
other question: why dont you reply to my emails?

first ofall, who won't reply to your emails,
secondly, sculpt it separately to the model, I often have trouble wih swords so noiw I scuplt on something flat (normally a movement tray), I flatten GS or whatever on it (I prefer milliput as it is stronger when done), first trim it to get the general shape, then neaten up the edges.
Once dry, peal it off, and to get the shapeness, I file it on both sides, then pin it to the hannd/ the handle in the hand

i use the same method as Nikin suggested.. mix Brownstuff & Greenstuff lay it on a plastic lid, soak a flat tool i have then press the stuff into the right thicknedss... by keeping the tool wet it doesnt stick to the stuff, leaving a flat edge(sides) then file a blade edge on... once you are happy you can start detailing (drill holes in for lessening weight, add panelling for powered-swords theholyart.co.uk/gallery/sculpts/28mm_pirate07_by_gav.jpgtheholyart.co.uk/gallery/sculpts/54mm_cyber_fighter_by_gav.jpgEbob does run a business, if its a non business question or order then i expect it doesnt take priority over selling stuff

I just take a white metal mini, an armeture is best, I use my own but ebob is good too. Cut off a leg and using some heavy pliars compress it and elongate it until it forms a sword shape, complete with a handle. Then use a bit of green to sculpt a hilt.

I haven't seen any emails concerning swords - however please make sure you add an appropriate subject heading for your email because I delete any that have no subject for the email without reading them as they appear like Spam emails.
sculpting swords is tricky - but I use an old white metal spear - because you can flatten it easily with pliers and shape it into a sword blade. Or use wire and milliput to form the blade or brownstuff is ok too.
