Hello all. I'm just wondering of anyone here has experience in casting larger items like... small walls, or ruined buildings etc.
Lets say that I've sculpted the wall and made the mould, what material would be best to use to make an actual casting from?
I've carried out some demo casts using plaster of Paris (pop) to see if the mould worked. It does, but Im aware that POP isn't very strong or durable.
Can anyone suggest another material that I could try?
Thank peeps

Welcome! I've built walls and i use dental plaster poured into moulds.. its rock solid (in the right mix!) and carrys teh detail perfectly theres resin which is "traditional" for larger peices.. Hasslefree, Forgeworld etc use it... i got some resin, but its expensive so i've not used it  thats all i got, i'm sure someone who knows what they're on about will have more options

Thanks for the replies! They were most helpful. You're mention of dental plaster sent me off on a whole new avenue of searching and i think i may now have a product in mind. I'll get a chance to visit this place at the weekend so i'll try and keep you posted next week.
Greenstuff_gav and nikin ... you both mentioned resins, but greenstuff_gav can you tell me where you bought your resin from or give me a brand name to help with my searches.
Thanks for you input peeps!
