I'm a total amature at sculpting with green stuff, sculpting in general to be honest. I spent most of my teens painting and converting GW mini's but as i got older and the prices rose to in my opinion bordering on legalised robbery i thought to myself... why not try to make my own.. couldnt be that hard surely.. So while i was surfing through Ebobs store i drew all the insperation i needed from the armatures.. my order was placed and within 2 days the puppets, tools and greenstuff came through my letter box. The wake up call came shortly after when i immediatly realised just how much patience and talent you need to sculpt anything even half descent. Pics are to follow very shortly and critism is very welcome and embraced, but remember this is my first try.. pics of kobold, 'bloody' jack and halfling 'wise man' to follow

: ( 50 views and not 1 reply? Any advice you could give me on how to improve sculpting backs Ebob? Im currently sculpting Kobold #2 with mushroom headwear but seem to struggle when it comes to sculpting shoulder blades, i did think bout throwing a poncho over him but thats the cheats way i think. (kobold #1's head is intended to be large as a side note, i love the henderson creatures in dark crystal/labrinth lol) A bit of brainstormed background on the kobold's of my imagination.. Halfling sized, secretive mushroom creatures, incredable furry legs (some goat like, some 2 huge toes), various styled faces(goblins labrinth lol), able to rise monsterous fungi beasts (like treeman but more ogre sized). A work in progress pic of the fungi beast is to follow aswell as the half finished kobold #2 and half finished human forester. Oh and if anyone has any ideas about how the female Kobolds could look please let me know, i was going to have the Kobold race seemingly grow from the earth like plants but the females may be intresting lol.

I think these are coming along great! try fixing the puppets to something like a base or a cork - it'll help. It's fiddly trying to hold the mini in you fingers while you're working

With regards to back muscles/bone structure do a google search for back muscle picture and see what comes up. It will help you out if you have some reference material to look at.
keep up the good work.
