The basic structure (the grey bits) is milliput - the wings are also flattened out milliput. Milliput dries hard and gives a good base to build the green onto. There is a wire running along the leading edge of the wings - I took a pic - but at the moment can't get the image off the old digi camera.
The legs are three bits of wire twisted and the ends form the claws.

Once again, a masterpiece in the making. Eagles are universal so I can foreseen many uses for them. Keep those WIP's coming... (drools)

Amazing! Are you working on this to be sold, or more of a one-off piece? Wondering what you were doing with your spare time

oh - well if it works out then it'll be cast for sale. Don't ask why - I just fancied trying something a little bigger for a change.

what i think would be a great idea is possibly a hooded rider on the back of the eagle. say some form of brown/grey travvielr. ( if i didn't infiect copy right)

you mean hand over my sculpt for him to make a profit with... let me think about that one  *insert embarressed look* i put the wrong smilie on the end of my last post I rekon the eagle would look better without a rider... i always find riders look a bit naff stuck on top unless you decide on a harness & saddle on the eagle... that'd be cool as to Dwarf / Eagle force, didn't the Great Eagles ally with the dwarfs in The Hobbit?

Er-pass on saddles and all that frippery. Several eagles in a range of poses would have far more applications and appeal: I will not name specific genres or settings, but I can certainly see good use for a force of, say, 6 or 7...

Wouldn't happen to be fighting near the Black Gate, eh mate? Cool as Ebob! If you were to get this baby cast, two questions: How many pieces would it come in? And roughly how much would you be able to sell it to us for? ;D
