i really like the body looks very cool but i hope these guys will have sculpted faces like the clansmen rather than the armiture faces like the english mini's wich in my opinion is there greatest let down.

Maybe some with beards, some without - for a bit of variety? A fine looking pikeman.

The sculpt is lovely, but i really think they need individual faces.

Which is what makes you my favorite sculptor. Listening to us little people 100& improves this model, gives it character. Another must buy!

I was sort of dissapointed with the first pics-but the second batch transform it so much that it looks like one of your best! I had trouble with the face and forarms, but they look absolutely great now. The face is quite nice and I love the way you did the leather, its not a solid mass but is wrinkled in correspondence with the contours of his torso. Any advice on acheiving this affect? A stand out even from the rest of the rebllion line, awesome! You are a huge sculpting inspiration for me--I just say keep working at it and you'll be as successful as ebob one day and I'm motivated to keep going

He definately looks a lot better now. I needed to change the hands for metal ones - otherwise I was concerned they would squish in the mould - as they were open/empty hands. So I pinched some hands from the English guys. The head is a huge improvement. I don't mind the puppet head actually - but it photographs bad compared to the green - it just looks white, but it wasn't so bad in reality. Still I like the new head lots. I made a skull first, then dressed the face over the top.
The jacket was done in two halves front and back. Just give some folds before applying the vertical stitching which is done in by a tiny stabbing (or stitching) motion with a sharp tool. The helmet started as a small metal washer to form the brim. You could do the same to get a cowboy hat etc.

This one is really nice - I canĀ“t wait to have it in my scottish army. The improvement due to the feedback is stunning!

I want one! I really want one!
Anyway, just wondering, he doesn't look particularly Scottish, so what's the story behind him?
