Many people hav said this befor but i think this thread should be where it is all sed now,i hav recently seen a weta workshop peter jackson as corsair figure, and the armour and clothing is actually quite simple and four your talent it is no match atall, in my opinion the corsairs play a huge role in the films but unforunaltey gw hav never produced them as minis, weather they will or not i dont know, but please ebob consider sculpting some corsairs and i garuntee they will be popular amongst the customers. come on people lets have some support, dus anyone agree with me.

gd point , ebob would have to call them coast mercenaries or something, that would be a gd name because in the film gandalf refers to them as mercenaries from the coast, yes a corsair is one of the pirates on the ships aragorn gimli legolas and the army of the dead take over, if u want me to get together some images if theres is any chance of u considering making some then please let me know ebob.

HI Ebob, its DM here from NZ.
Hell yeah corsairs would be fantastic, I would lay money on the fact that they would sell extreamly well. GW have not prduced them but loads of people make the corsair ships. You would have the neich in that corner of the market.
I for one would buy them.

Yeah, Ebob, corsairs would go like hotcakes (sorry, correction; pirates) People have been pestering GW to make them for ages; their forums are littered with posts about making them. Addded to the fact that people are lazy and dont wish to spend time buying boxsets and converting. As DM said; its an open market. But you'd have to be fast. Im talking before the end of the year, GW is going through and filling in the blanks. Best of Luck,
FM.

Hehe
There is absolutely nothing whatsoever to prevent anybody from naming a range of figures as "Corsairs".
The word "Corsair" comes from the name given to pirates particularly from around the Barbary Coast area and then latterly to any "swift pirate vessel".
Neither GW nor the Tokien estate have any copyright or any other proprietory elment of control over the word "Corsair" or "Corsairs".
None, at all, nada, zip, rien, diddly-squat, zilch.
Now if he named them as "The Corasiars of Umbar" it would be a different issue, but "Corsairs" - nothing to stop anybody from using it.
