i thought of a good idea the other day, you could make loads of different weapon packs, which can be used with fantasy miniatures, or tribes of the east, you mcould have lots of different stlyes of swords on one sprue, axes on another, bows on another, spears on another and blank shields on another, i for one would find it particularly useful, especially since i find it hard to get plasticard, and harder to make weapons, i find all of mine look like utter poop! i also know a lot of people who would also find it usefule, and buy them. would you be able to do this?

yeh i think thats a great idea aswell. kind of like expansion packs which let you customise the tribes of the east even more (if you get the sculpting pack)

Well i agree, but.... An expansion pack should be released per army. So if TotE only use scimitars, spears, sheilds, bows. Then thats all that pack should use, catch my drift. Although, another scuplting pack with, say helmets (no head inside ), 'bitz' of leg/chest/arm armour would also work well. The only problem i have with releasing a 'Weapons pack' with no 'themed' army to go with it, would hamper sales. But that being said, its not my decision.

It's not that its a bad idea - they'd sell really well, it's just that the profit is so tiny it's almost more effort than its worth. I can cast 5 swords for lets say a sale price of £1 - or 5 figures for up to £5 each - the profit is so small it's hardly worth it for me. The tribes weapons exist only because I cast them for myself when I was making the minis.

i dont mean to steer away fom the subject or take your buisiness away ebob, but antonocitis workshop seel loose weapons and shields for 20p each, so maybe if you do something like that ebob? i would buy lots of them thats for sure.

Hell, I like this idea. But I understand about the profit and all. Maybe you could include the weapons with the ToTE blister packs like warg riders.

I also appreciate the problem with profits that must be considered, but I would personnaly by several sets if the did ever materialise, but only if it was standard swords, bows etc. as it would be used mainly in LOTR conversions and my own personal - well I'm not sure if i can call them sculpts..... but anyway, its a good idea, but maybe just not workable. Ah well, its a nice dream....

I would also buy several weapon packs as i am no good at making them myself. Believe me I've tried!

When the BGiME issue with the conversion kit came out, I tried to get several but failed. If Ebob made these weapons I would buy loads

The problem is that weapons packs are fiddly to pack and not very profitable. If you check the Antenociti website he does a whole range of weapons packs as do Thunderbolt mountain and many other manufacturers.

aye just added the fenryll weapons pack and some more individual weapons.
tbh as a lot of the lotr weaponry is historically based the mirliton individual weapons should cover a far range of items - if we dont have something just shout and we can always get it in.
