I've got the Hot Wire cutter from GW. I've put in 2 D Duracell Batteries, fixed the wire where it should go, but it isn't heating up. I've tried putting the spring in both ways. This hasn't worked. Help!

$40.00 youve been had mate, there available for about £5.00 and that definately converts to alot less than $40.00. even brand new frm gw there about 12 quid, and for what they are thats a rip off, bateries arent even supplied,

No mate, even with the exchange rate, your still right. 5 quid = roughly AU$12 12quid = roughly AU$30 It's a little bit less then that because the dollar is at .42 pounds. Morin, i sure hope it's worth every cent... Did you shop around before hand?

a tip for morin, make sure that wire is incredibly tight, use a pair of plyers to pull and wrap it tight, this is for better results, also, it may seem hard and a bit tricky to use at first, and you may not be getting the smothe or round finish you want, try our on a few old clumps of polystyrene first to practise.
