I decided I probably wouldn't use the Bruce on foot figure as a king, so when I had some extra greenstuff mixed up the other day for another basing project I decided to see if I could de-royalize Mr. Bob Bruce. He will become an English hero, William de Vavasour, to lead my English infantry. Dremeled off the crown, and started working. A coupple stages later and I'm to the point of trying to add a rolled edge / flared ridge to the edge of the helmet, which is f-ing hard. Getting the surface of the helm smooth is super tedious too. .. dunno how you do it eBob.

I usually wet my finger and use that.
But you could also do a nice conversion with a spare full-face helmet. You'll get some spare helmets when the mounted knights are released.

I was going to try and brownstuff a rolled/crisp edge on this helmet, but I've gotten it pretty smooth as it is, and I think I'm going to call it good enough instead of f'in it up. I've got some parts on order to make him and his standard bearer. . .I can't wait.
