How should I do to avoid fingerprints on the putty?

You must choose one of the options below.
1) Don't put your finger on the putty.
2) remove your fingerprint with a scalpel.
3) Coat your fingertips in hot wax and allow to set so they are smooth.
4) wear surgical gloves
5) attach your armature to something you can hold like a plastic base or a cork.
I've tried options 1 and 2 but now prefer to employ option 5. But it still happens, and when it does it's time to stop and allow the putty to set before starting again.

Today when I sculpted a bit, I realized that the only thing that I had to do so that the fingerprints would disappear, was to press the putty a bit with a sculpting tool. Thanks anyway Bob.
