Is there anyone home?
Where are all of the gamers at? Surely they couldn't have left for the crap GW is putting out and the price rape that is going on with its customer base.
I hope people return and the rebellion game takes off once again.

I'm starting to look at the rules again now that I'm slowly building up my armies. It'll be with a Baltic flair though.

Awesome. I've done three orders since this March. Trying to stock up before my little one arrives in September. Building both forces. Was thinking of doing a small force per named hero to add variety in color schemes and to give a more historical representation of forces present rather than just guys in orange tunics and chain coifs versus guys in kilts and beards. I wish the original scottish knight sculpt was still available. I'm working on a large heavy cavalry force to go with Stirling bridge for the English. Thanks for posting a reply and glad to hear you are working on things. Maybe we can use the forum as a motivational tool to keep pushing ourselves to complete projects. Cheers man

The Baltics gives a nice arena for small unit skirmishes amongst the wetlands and forests. Nothing like a little one to chop down on the free time. Congrats on the little one!

Thanks chief, I appreciate it. What minis do you use other than eBob's for your Teutonic Baltic stuff? What system of rules do you use as well? Sounds interesting. Again, really hoping to get as much rebellion items as I can before my free time is cut down like Ben Kenobi

Right now I got roped into a Medieval campaign that has yet to take off (yep, on of those). So I stocked up on a OG Leignitz minis (foot, x-bow, German knights) to get me going. I picked up some of the BTD Crusaders to use as auxillary troops. From what I've been reading the northern forces were behind the arms/armor curve compared to the rest of Europe so a better chance for old style armor vs the plate that comes into fashion. I'm a bit loosey-goosey with arms/armor; pretty much I keep it to pre-HYW if I can. Besides Rebellion I downloaded Knights & Knaves (free download) and I own Battlelust (my first ruleset for the period). Battlelust is the mass battle system for Harn so a bit RPGish (stats, etc) and each mini is a person so even peasants can have stats (like "Doof, elder son of Gard. He's a bit slow but boy can he lift the pigs").

Interesting to hear. I'm still tinkering with rebellion and have picked up some feudal Japanese games as well. Hoping to game next weekend. Busy schedule down te pregnancy home stretch.

Don't bring up Japanese, I've been fighting the urge to get them and start on that road to madness. If I did (not saying I'm eager to click away and order, order, order!) I need to do some research. I'd want a period that's pre-gunpowder and smaller battles. From my limited exposure to it I understand there are periods and depending on what a person wants to game, certain periods are better? They would great to paint, just not 300 of them....
One group of guys I game with weekly have come up with "themes" for the month, right now we're in WWII. When we hit Dark Age/Medieval I'll be putting Rebellion on the menu although I may be the only one with minis painted up. It should give it a good shake out though.

sounds like a great idea. Just played a wings of war tournament over the weekend. Couple friends and my brothers. I made a trophy out of a 1/72 scale sopwith camel painted gold for bragging rights. Was fun. I was defeated readily though so I was relegated to watching early on. No luck this time. Next time we game we are doing GW LOTR.

Another group I'm involved in is into X-Wing so we've played that a few times but of course one guy is really into air combat so our missions are getting more complex and bigger. I've been sidelined on my medievals with 6mm for WWII and moderns. I ordered the Normans and some Rebellion minis from Ebob so when they arrive that'll change my painting queue ("oh shiny!").

Sweet, I just finished some of my english foot to be used as men of dale as I cannot stand GWs version.
Working on a commission vampire counts army now. Army of darkness inspired of course. My adversary and good friend is going to the Philippines for the next month so I get down time to paint and bolster some of my evil LOTR forces as well as start my samurai skirmish sets. Ronin by osprey is pretty good and I use several miniature lines from kensei to North Star miniatures and even some perry and em4 miniatures which is located in England as well
Speaking of samurai, I'm off to a hibachi dinner with my in laws. Loading up on American beer though, can't stand the Asian beers
