After painting up a battle companies worth of foot and mounted Tribes and transporting them very carefully to the club and back three times, I have found that the weapons cannot stand up to packing in the standard foam pocket cases, they just bend to easily. I suggest that the next range of figures have more substantial weapons to stand up to normal wargaming wear and tear. In the meantime my Tribes forces will not be able to battle until I can make some custom made carrier for them

Have you tried making a base-board Hith?
That way they'd never be bent by foam....

You're right - they do bend too easy - I'll be sure to beef em up a bit next time - but I have the same problem with my plastic GW spears - and uruk swords - especially the uruk engineers and of course the pikes are just a nightmare to transport.
An ideal solution would be to replace with brass rod or something similar

What do you mean by base-board faramirsmamma?
I haven't broken any GW model and they get a lot of use and carrying about in a GW case and would need a lot of pressure to do so, where as the Tribes bend with the slightest touch. Because the weapons are made seperate with hands attached and being small, I can't see how they can be drilled to take brass rod.
I'll make a case out of a box-files with foamcore dividers, to keep the models upright, that should work.

Hey Hith (or Dave - I'm Alex, btw), A base board is well, I can't describe it to it's full awesomeness, but this link from an older Black Gobbo can. us.games-workshop.com/e-zine/issues/blackgobbo-45/default.htm its the 'Traveling in Style' link. Quite a good read, much better then what usually comes out in WD's! I was planning on using an older picture frame from an Op-Shop, and just taking one of the lengths of frame off, and nailing it back on when all is done. Cheaper that way. Anyway, enjoy the read, and have a look at what I was planning to do for my TotE (when I save up enough). Cheers, Alex
