Hmm, so many models to choose from. Think, think, think.
Okay, I'm working on a LOTR conversion/sculpt at the moment so i wont be painting anything for a little while, but here's my aim.
Conversion (sculpt and paint.) Mines of Moria box set (assemble and paint) Army of the dead box set (paint) Wraith on fellbeast (assemble and paint) Witchking on fellbeast (assemble and paint) Witchking on foot Cave Troll (paint)
Hardly puts a dent in my massive backlog, but i gotta start somewhere right?

Just don't drop any of them off a high shelf, especially fellbeasts. Breakages ensure, followed (in my case) by a torrent of expletives.

What are you using as glue for your Fell Beast? I've heard good things about epoxy glue, actually, I use it myself. Very Strong.
Good luck mate! I await pictures....

I used epoxy: the d**ned thing just landed perfectly to jolt the neck and on the bounce the tail came off. However, I invested in a Dremel and it will not be a couple of puny pins next time. Much, much bigger and the same will go for trolls, balrogs and all metal assemblages.

I use industrial strength superglue. Being in the metalwork business, I also have a variety of rod thicknesses to choose from when pinning joints. I find though, its not the thickness of the pin that creates stability, but the length or depth that it travels into the model. Always drill at least 10mm into each half of the model if there is sufficient bulk to do so.

Yes it is four times stronger than regular store superglue, but the fumes are a bit of nightmare. I always use wearing a mask and goggles, preferably outside weather permitting, and always have some 'remover' handy in case of accidental finger bonding!

4 times better? Well, thats the pro's of being in that business! But is epoxy glue up there? With the strong superglues?

I have only ever tried using a two part epoxy glue once. It is indeed a strong option, but I find it a bit too thick and gloopy for my liking. Also takes a little longer to dry.

Lol.
Already started writing an article for TLA, but i didn't think I'd be allowed to do one here because i used part of a GW model (i.e. the head) in the sculpt?

Hmmm.... You are right.....
Which is a right pity, as it would be such a good guide.... although we may just have to put a link in, from TLA... you did use majority Ebob products, and a guide for a scuplt that cool is just too bad to waste...
Dang!
Oh well, fantastic scuplt though, really, is this the first time you've scratch-scuplted something before?

My first attempt at sculpting was adding a cloak to a figure for my Anarion conversion. My second attempt was the scratch made Watcher as seen in my Avatar. (Both of these are articles over on TLA.)
So technically this is my third attempt at sculpting, but my first at doing a whole actual figure. I just need to practice my faces some more. I'm practically bald now after trying to scratch make a Theoden head likeness!Ah well.
I had originally planned to use the seated body of a Gandalf in Cart model before I accidently ordered some ebob puppets. So I thought I'd give it a go with the ol' green stuff before chopping up my expensive models and it turned out rather well i think. ;D
