I don't know - I've been looking for pink foam in the shops for years - never seen it. If you've seen it in B&Q - you tell me - is it the same?

I've been looking for years too, I was hoping this thread would have the answers, please post if you found it in the UK, especially B&Q as a new huge one opened in Gillingham, although I didn't even find it in all the builders yards I looked in

well, the new one here is huge, it took me half an hour just to relocate some superglue I'd picked up before I found a nice tool set that I wanted instead, I'll look next time I can get there

where abouts in the south downs are you ebob, I'm up in medway(more of the north downs I think, I was never good with geography) near Gillingham and Rochester, do you know any really big B&Q warehouses,as even the superstore is likely to have less than a proper warehouse

so perhaps the Holy Grail is not so far away after all. How much you want, we order the stuff in batches of £500 a time? 5.5mm, 10mm, 25mm and 50mm, as well as some other bits and pieces. go here for an explanation of what it is and why folks cant generally find it easily: www.barrule.com/Workshop/images/info/foams/index.htm

nine they sell it in york b&q warehouse comes in 50cm thick but cuts down very easy the only problem is they dont deliver it to scarborough (they want £50 delivery!).
if you are building big hills i found that kingspan do an invery *friendly* personion board (50cm) that works very well. But DON'T USE your hot wire cutter on it , just your craft knife.

Pink Foam = Polyfoam although it is more of a dirty orange now as they thought the building trade did not like using a pink product, it has a direct equivalent a Blue Foam = Styrofoam.
Both these products are widely available throughout the uk, any major insulation distributor will hold this in stock, just google the company names below, one of them will have a branch near you.
FGF Limited Sheffield Insulations. Encon Insulation Kitson Insulations Minster Insulation
I suggest you speak to the trade counters as they may be able to find you damaged stock which saves you money and gets rid of unuseable stock for them.
How do i know all this, i work for one of these companies and have sold tonnes of the stuff. Happy modelling.
