Some Poor Knights of Christ, to go with my English. Brian De Jay, Templar Knight. Fought with Edward I, and was killed at Falkirk. His two seargents are from the Perry's HYW range. A little more modern armour than they should have, but I don't care too much because the figs are awesome, and no one else does any decent early medieval stuff besides our man ebob. Close ups:

Those are truly lovely. I find black hard to shade well, so am duly impressed. Even more, though, I love the horses, particularly the banner bearer's - any tips? Links to tutorials?
Cheers, Rab

Rab- as far as tips, my biggest would be to use thin coats of paint. I try to keep my layers pretty thin as it seems to help with my style to keep the highlighting looking somewhat realistic, and not overly stylized. For colors etc I tend to reference: greenfield.fortunecity.com/dreams/799/hc/horsecolors.htmDunno is that helps or not.
